In today's world, social media has become a powerful tool for raising awareness and seeking help. Recently, a heartwarming story surfaced on Facebook about a group of kind rescuers who went out of their way to save a helpless puppy in distress.
The rescuers had to cancel all their appointments to respond to the plea for help. They found the puppy tied to a shrub, hidden from view, and in an emaciated condition with a deep wound around his neck. The wound was wider than most rope burns cases, probably due to the puppy's constant pulling and straining to get away.
Despite being close to a busy supermarket, the spot where the puppy was tied up was impossible to see from the street. The rescuers acted swiftly and borrowed a box cutter from a nearby hardware store to remove the rope from the puppy's neck. They were desperate to know if his windpipe was intact or not.
The puppy, who was later named Victor, was incredibly thirsty and appeared to have been tied to the shrub for a long time. The rescuers cleaned his wound and removed the maggots before taking him to a clinic for further treatment.
Despite the seriousness of his condition, Victor proved to be an exemplary patient. He was patient and still as the rescuers cleaned and treated his wound. Eventually, he underwent surgery to correct the creases on his neck.
While Victor's neck wound is almost healed, there is still some way to go before he can fully recover. However, the rescuers are optimistic that he will make a full recovery soon.
